config.php is inside include/ directory. I double check, it is the correct database information

However, i did not find any "function weathermap_get_pdo()" to copy/past your line :-/

I forgot to mention that when I clicked to enable the plugin i also got this error message :

So you do not have the file /cacti/www/plugins/weathermap/lib/database.php ?

Sorry my bad, I was in the wrong /lib/database.php.

But I have just tried and I retrieved the information in weathermap_database.txt and they match with what I write in config.php

Ok, last thing to check would be SELINUX. Do you have it enabled ? If yes then the security context of the weathermap directory may be wrong and hence it is not able to connect to the database.

Hello,

As we are running out of options we were thinking of changing the DBMS

We are currently running with MySQL but we can take another one from the list below

• Oracle database Enterprise
• SQL Server Standard + Enterprise
• PostgreSQL
• Cassandra

Could you tell me if there is one that would be better to run Weathermap ?

Kr,

Robin.

Hello,

Finally, it turns out the issue was coming from $database_port.

We do not use the default value as the MySQL server is connecting remotely to cacti.

The value we used was not send correctly.

Kind regards,

Robin.
